IT TURNS OUT MY THEORY ABOUT MEENAH WAS 100% CORRECT! 8D

“-WHEN YOU NEED THE BEST- Agressive, compassionate representation you can count on.”
OH GOD.

“It’s trolls!” said Bilbo from behind a tree.

Page 45 is just a giant full-page colour photograph of a kingfisher.
Ummm.
“Bilton and Scaggs’ second great publishing disaster occurred in 1653.” (Good Omens)
I don’t understand.
Multi-class characters can combine abilities from their different classes with the following restrictions:
Aw yeah all the ladies love it when I combine my abilities ;)
Treestuck recently posted a bunch of questions about homestuck, and I like talking about homestuck! So here are some answers to those questions!
Q: Except why would Jack have appeared where - when he did?
A: You offically don’t know yet. At the point in the story, no one knows how or why Jack appeared in the Trolls’ session, except that Aradia said that such a rift was refered to in game as a “scratch.”
Q: Does Dave do something time happy that sends him what would essentially be back in time to when the trolls won their game? If [the two sessions were] separated by thousands of years, shouldn’t it have been too far for jack to be sent?
A: seperate universes have absolutely no bearing temporally to eachother. The Trolls winning their game =/= the beginning of the kids’ universe, and there is no way to measure time between an event in one universe and an event in another.
Q: There’s also not knowing if the trolls could watch anyone else.
A: Presumably this is just a feature of Trollian. It allows you to contact anyone on your chumproll at any point during their timeline. We only see the trolls to it to the kids because who else would they be talking to?
Q: Granted that begs the question of why is the earth so old with so much history if it only started with the kids/shortly before them?
A: It didn’t. The kids’ Earth has been around for just as long as our Earth. Actors existing in both universes is kind of weird, but it’s because the kids’ universe is heavily based on the trolls’. Note all the other similarities, like what the kids call appliances, their zodiac signs, etc. Just how universe creation works.
Q: And why, when the trolls were successful, would the game be played again.
A: Why not? All universes will eventually experience heat death. The only way to combat entropy is to continue making more universes!
Q: If it DOESN’T then what is the point of it going to the dying worlds. If it’s not getting SOMETHING from it? I just have to assume that it is?
A: It just happens that the demon is only summoned to universes at their destruction. But since the demon can travel through time at will, he then has the entire history of the universe to mess with at his discretion. It’s never been stated exactly what he’s getting out of it, but we see some of what he’s doing on Alternia during the intermission.
Q: I dont know if I think the game is helping it or trying to stop it.
A: The game as far as we know has nothing to do with the Demon. The game’s purpose is to make new universes to combat entropy. The Demon, when the complicated, self-fulfilling shit that causes him to be summoned happens, appears in some universes.
Q: And the exiles! Kind of baffle me because they’re … skaians?
A: Yeah, they’re from Prospit and Derse. They come to Earth through portals during the reckoning, and Skaia sends them to post-apocolypse Earth. The reason the Demon isn’t there is because 1) The Demon isn’t summoned the the kids’ universe (as far as we know) and 2) Just because Earth was destroyed doesn’t mean the universe was destroyed.
Q: I thought derse/prospit/whatever were only accessible in the dreams.
A: Derse and Prospit are actual physical locations within the incipisphere, which for all intents and purposes is another seperate universe. Therefore, it has no temporal relation to any other universe, even the universe that “created” it, other than dreaming players.
Q: John is with The Mayor currently, but the mayor is also currently way ahead in the future, trying to … help john.
A: WM met John on Skaia before he was exiled to Earth. We’re seeing him at two different points in time. And we don’t know how he got exiled yet :D
Q: So the dreamselves were things that could happen before the game actually happened? Why these four kids?
A: It’s possible that other people who were “destined” through chronological inevitability to play Sburb also had dreamselves, and were sent to Earth on meteors. But we never see them because we don’t look at other incipispheres! (Or, indeed, any other characters at all)
Reblog if you knew this song from the very first note.
I hit reblog after the first note xD
welp
<3
Very first note.
gdi First note.
Here’s a couple that I really like!
Babel: This was the first TBA that I really got into. Plot heavy, with puzzles that fit well into the flow. You wake up in an arctic research station with amnesia and the ability to see emotionally charged past events by touching objects that glow blue.
Losing Your Grip: Explore a surreal and symbolically deep world. Some of the puzzles can be quite difficult, especially in the fourth section, so there is no shame in using the guide a little. The path branches in two spots, so while the game is divided into five sections, there are really seven different “areas.”
Worlds Apart: You wake up on the beach with amnesia (yes, amnesia again). Over the course of the adventure you explore both the very detailed world around you, and the pieces of your memories. Notable features are a very interesting system of psionics wherein certain objects can be imbued in such a way that you can enter them, and a fantastic interactive hint system.
Neverever: Shameless plug. This is the text based adventure that I made last year for my Game Development class. It is coded from the ground up in C++. In theory, you would proceed through a branching map of levels, and the main focus of the game would be replayability. In actuality, only one level is done. Also the combat is really boring because I had a lot of trouble making the interesting combat I wanted work.
unable to do anything but sleep off the pain. I frequent the website topdocumentaryfilms.com every day and usually try to watch at least one of the featured documentaries every day. Last night one called “Get Lamp” caught my eye. I watched it and I loved it. I have continued to play text…
Oh my gord yes text-based adventures unfffff
Anchorhead is great; I haven’t actually beaten it but I got most of the way through before changing computers and kind of forgetting about it
I also highly recommend Babel, which has less gameplay and more plot, but the puzzles are almost seamlessly interwoven with the story which is awesome. Man just thinking about it there’s about a million different games I can think of that I absolutely adore… when I have more time I’ll make a bigger post with links to some of them :D
The last time I ran this giveaway it backfired, so I’m running a new one to celebrate the summer!
Basically, I’m doing a commission of any god tier hood, of any class and any color, for free. That means it doesn’t even have to be canon.
Here are some examples of my previous hoods!
Only one like and reblog count, multiple reblogs are disqualified. Also, I will ship internationally. Contest ends May 18th. Good luck!
Nanquest.
For those who aren’t familiar, NanQuest is the spiritual sequel to RubyQuest. A horror-based quest (interactive webcomic-ish story) with surreal motifs and lurking danger.
And it’s being updated again.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5 (currently active!)
Try not to flood the threads. If you have a suggestion to make you are welcome to post it but just keep in mind on this board flooding, off-topic, and low-content posts are generally deleted or pruned. So please, try to keep it civil.omg
OMG OMG OMG
HOLY FUCK YES :D
Helmsprite!
What this is prototyped with is kind of hard to explain… at my apartment we have a decorative helmet, and on top of it is a circlet of twisted copper with antlers attached to it. I’ll try to get a picture of it to aid explanation. Anyway, the point is that it makes an awesome kernelsprite!
Larger version here, as usual.
There’s a lot more complexity in the background here, because Helmsprite isn’t very complex alone and the picture felt very empty with just him.
I wanna make a spritelog for this guy too, and maybe will be posting a little story thing? We’ll see what happens, lol.
